Our oil brand Doña Godina, matches properly with the definition of extra virgin olive oil of the International Olive Oil Council. It is obtained only from the olive, the fruit of the olive tree, using solely mechanical or other physical means, in conditions, particularly thermal conditions, which do not alter the oil in any way. It has not undergone any treatment other than washing, decanting, centrifuging, and filtering. It has a free acidity, expressed as oleic acid, of no more than 0.8 grams per 100 grams (0.8%), and other characteristics that correspond to those fixed for its category standards.
The taste and aroma of our Doña Godina olive oil reflect the fact that it is made only from arberquina variety of olives. The arberquina variety is recognized for its aromatic ripe fruitiness, low bitterness, pungency, and stability. Our oil brand Doña Godina has the highest quality of an olive oil and we are really proud of its extremely good flavor (a certain almond taste) & nice color (fair green appearance). Our goal is to satisfy our customer´s needs by offering one of the best extra virgin olive oil from our Valdejalon area, a region of Aragón (Spain).
The process of producing this “liquid gold” starts with the recollecting of the olives by brushing the olive trees by the hand of the growers. The harvest is checked to be in the optimal grade of maturity, and then using modern machinery we guarantee a careful processing technique to manufacture an ended product with a recognized quality.
You can try Doña Godina olive oil by cooking it with your food (meat & fish) or by adding it raw to your food (salads). Both options will make you taste its nice and unique flavor. Typical Spanish fried eggs cooked with our Doña Godina olive oil will be a pleasure for your senses.
